I met Liliya in 2019 through Instagram. I needed to renovate a newly built apartment in another city, which had only rough finishing.

The apartment was a 36 sq.m. one-bedroom space intended for a student. The biggest challenge was figuring out how to manage the renovation remotely. The only solution was to have a design project!

The task wasn’t easy: to reconfigure the layout for maximum efficiency while working within a limited budget.

I was probably not the easiest client—I had no knowledge of planning or renovations, asked tons of questions, and always received detailed answers 😊.

In the end, we transformed a dull one-bedroom apartment into a modern two-room space with a full-fledged bedroom and living room!

Moreover, throughout the renovation process, Liliya stayed in touch with my “not-so-great” builders (by the way, builders are extremely important—never cut costs on them!).

The project was 95% accurately realized—some design elements are still in progress due to budget constraints.

Having started renovations at my mom’s place and taking full control over the supervision process, dealing with all contractors, choosing materials, etc.,

At first glance, it seems easy—here’s the picture, just follow it—but no one mentions dozens of trips to home improvement stores, urgently ordering things unavailable locally.
